Digital baby scrapbook pages.

Creating your first digital baby scrapbook page may be a little intimidating. It will be much easier to create your first page if you use an example from someone else.

If you are not sure if digital scrapbooking is right for you, read the article on digital versus traditional scrapbooking.

The first digital pages I created were extremely simple. I am almost embarrassed to show them to anyone. I had no idea what I was doing.

Back then, there weren't many digital scrapbook examples online to view and not many tutorials for software. Or at least I didn't know where to look.

Now the resources are almost limitless. There are a ton of websites dedicated to digital scrapbooking and lots of freebies you can download to use on your pages.

You don't even need freebies to get started. All you need are your photos and Photoshop Elements. Choosing the right software to create your digital layout is key to creating unique pages. Read why I love Photoshop Elements.

You can change the opacity of your photos to help them blend in to the background. Changing the opacity is also a great way to make background paper. Here, I wrote my son's name all over the page and then changed the opacity to make it just barely visible.

It is very easy to perfectly space every item when you are digitally scrapbooking. Once you make a box, you can just duplicate it and change the color. Then you have two boxes that are exactly the same size.

There are a ton of effects you can use to change your photos. Here, I changed the photos of me and my son into sketches. It is easy to do... just the click of a button.

I took the silhouette of my sister-in-law, just before she gave birth, and created this great pregnant woman's silhouette. First, I used the lasso tool to cut her body out of the original picture. Then, I used the filter bas relief to make the cool copper looking effect.

Digital scrapbooking allows you to zoom in to any picture to focus on the item of your choice. Then you crop it and you are left with only the items you want. Sure, you can crop your pictures when you are scrapbooking traditionally, but you can not make them larger or smaller. It would have been difficult to make this page using traditional scrapbooking. .

Do you have some digital baby scrapbook pages that you would like to share? I would love to add them to my site.
