Here are some baby poems...
I am so very special I have been from the start. Before they held me in their arms My family held me in their hearts.
And like a single drop of rain That on still waters fall, My life and love will ripples make And touch the lives of all.
So read this precious story As step by step I grow. I am a special blessing and gift As each page here will show. ~Author Cathryn Stanley
It's important for you to see that you mean the world to me. I created this special book with a warm and loving touch, so that you will always know I love you very much! ~author unknown
My precious little baby I have loved you from the start. You are a tiny miracle laying closely to my heart. Each day I feel your presence, each day you quickly grow. Each day your heart beats softly, as only I could know. So I'll keep this in a special place, and remember each year through, of this very special time of life, the months I carried you. ~author unknown
I Am Not Alone ~author unknown
Running errands and talking on the phone, I am pleasantly reminded that I am not alone. Little tiny hands a precious rounded knee pushing and twisting that no one can see. Oh sweet child kicking up your heels, it is our little secret that only I can feel. I look forward to your birth, when I can kiss your skin, but for now I will just smile, As I feel you play within.
Coming Soon... by Yves Gagne
There he is, sleeping, right there inside you; he is gently moving, to him every movement is new.
He feels safe and warm, he knows he is soft and fragile; he can't wait to be in your arms, and see your beautiful smile.
For he knows you are beautiful, he can feel it through your love; which happens to be plentiful, something you'll always have enough of.
Soon he shall be with you, bringing you tears of joy; then you will know just what to do, to take care of this baby boy.
Our First Glimpse ~author unknown
Today we saw Our first glimpse of you A little piece of heaven Our dream come true. The day we will meet Seems so far away But until you’re ready In my tummy safely stay. Our gift from God Sent from above For us to cherish And forever to love
Your Name by Edgar A. Guest
You got it from your father, t'was the best he had to give, And right gladly he bestowed it It's yours, the while you live.
You may lose the watch he gave you and another you may claim, But remember, when you're tempted, to be careful of his name.
It was fair the day you got it, and a worthy name to bear, When he took it from his father there was no dishonor there.
Through the years he proudly wore it, to his father he was true, And that name was clean and spotless when he passed it on to you.
Oh there's much that he has given that he values not at all, He has watched you break your playthings in the days when you were small.
You have lost the knife he gave you and you've scattered many a game, But you'll never hurt your father if you're careful with his name.
It is yours to wear forever, yours to wear the while you live, Yours, perhaps some distant morn, another boy to give.
And you'll smile as did your father, with a smile that all can share, If a clean name and a good name you are giving him to wear.
Tiny One By Elizabeth Anna Fetters
How very often I have dreamed A world of perfect bliss To be the mother of a boy Or of a tiny miss. To hold its tiny hands in mine To count its tiny toes And then to place a tiny kiss Upon its tiny nose. To hold it very close to me Warm against my breast To gaze into its tiny face Sleeping and at rest. Oh, what could be more perfect Or what could hold more bliss, Than to be a mother of a boy Or of a tiny miss.
A Wee Bit of Heaven by Helen Steiner Rice
A wee bit of heaven drifted down from above- A handful of happiness, a heart full of love.
The mystery of life, so sacred and sweet- The giver of joy so deep and complete.
Precious and priceless, so lovable, too- The world's sweetest miracle, baby, is you.
The Lamb by William Blake - 1789
Little Lamb who made thee Dost thou know who made thee Gave thee life & bid thee feed, By the stream & o'er the mead; Gave thee clothing of delight, Softest clothing wooly bright; Gave thee such a tender voice, Making all the vales rejoice; Little Lamb who made thee Dost thou know who made thee
Little Lamb I'll tell thee, Little Lamb I'll tell thee; He is called by thy name, For he calls himself a Lamb: He is meek & he is mild, He became a little child: I a child & thou a lamb, We are called by his name. Little Lamb God bless thee. Little Lamb God bless thee.
Love You Forever by Robert N. Munsch

Created by the Hand of God Author Unknown
A baby boy was created by the hand of God above to give the world the sweetest touch of tenderness and love. With the softness of a whisper, God made a baby's skin and then designed two trusting eyes to put the starlight in. With giggles from a waterfall and breezes passing by, God made a baby's laughter and a tiny, sleepy sigh. God made the world a precious gift more dear and pure than gold, with little toes to play with and tiny hands to hold then brought into the sunshine a precious baby boy All wrapped up in a rainbow of wonder, hope, and joy.

The Baby's Dance by Ann Taylor
Dance little baby, dance up high, Never mind baby, mother is by; Crow and caper, caper and crow, There little baby, there you go; Up to the ceiling, down to the ground, Backwards and forwards, round and round; Dance little baby, and mother shall sing, With the merry coral, ding, ding, ding.
Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep; Should I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray thee, Lord, my soul to keep; See me safely through the night, And wake me with the morning's light.
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep; Guard me Jesus through the night, And wake me with the morning light.
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the lord my soul to keep, thy angels watch me through the night, And keep me safe till morning's light.
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the lord my soul to keep, May angels watch me through the night, And keep me in their blessed sight.
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep; When in the morning light I wake, Teach me the path of love to take.
The happy household by Eugene Field
It's when the birds go piping and the daylight slowly breaks, That, clamoring for his dinner, our precious baby wakes; Then it's sleep no more for baby, and it's sleep no more for me, For, when he wants his dinner, why it's dinner it must be! And of that lacteal fluid he partakes with great ado, While gran'ma laughs, And gran'pa laughs, And wife, she laughs, And I - well, I laugh, too!
You'd think, to see us carrying on about that little tad, That, like as not, that baby was the first we'd ever had; But, sakes alive! he isn't, yet we people make a fuss As if the only baby in the world had come to us! And, morning, noon, and night-time, whatever he may do, Gran'ma, she laughs, Gran'pa, he laughs, Wife, she laughs, And I, of course, laugh, too!
But once - a likely spell ago - when that poor little chick From teething or from some such ill of infancy fell sick, You wouldn't know us people as the same that went about A-feelin' good all over, just to hear him crow and shout; And, though the doctor poohed our fears and said he'd pull him through, Old gran'ma cried, And gran'pa cried, And wife, she cried, And I - yes, I cried, too!
It makes us all feel good to have a baby on the place, With his everlastin' crowing and his dimpling, dumpling face; The patter of his pinky feet makes music everywhere, And when he shakes those fists of his, good-by to every care! No matter what our trouble is, when he begins to coo, Old gran'ma laughs, And gran'pa laughs, Wife, she laughs, And I - you bet, I laugh, too!
